“I was shown that the truth once published now, will stand, for it is the truth for the last days; it will live, and less need be said upon in the future. Numberless words need not be put upon paper to justify what speaks for itself
and shines in its clearness. Truth is straight, plain, clear and stands out boldly in its own defense” (Publishing Ministry, 47).
“And the gospel must first be published among all nations” Mark 13:10. We cannot begin to emphasize the importance of getting truth-filled literature into the hands of people. When we see what is happening in our world, we clearly see that Rome is busy fulfilling its prophetic role. The United States is rising in strength and power—just as prophecy predicted, churches are coming together, Sunday laws are increasing in different parts of the world,
natural and man-made disasters are becoming more frequent. God’s people must rise at this time in history and fulfill their divinely, mandated work.
“To give all nations the message of warning—this is to be the object of our efforts….From city to city, and from country to country, they are to carry the publications containing the promise of the Savior’s soon coming. These publications are to be translated into every language; for to all the world the gospel is to be preached” (Evangelism, 573).
Every church and place where God’s people meet to worship and study should be a center the evangelism cycle. We have been organized for service just as Heaven is a place of intense activity and work. Our churches are to be
a light to their local communities to spread the Three Angels’ Messages. “In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second and third angels’ messages. There is no other work of so great importance. They are to allow nothing else to absorb their attention. The most solemn truths ever entrusted to mortals have been given us to proclaim to the world. The proclamation of these truths is to be our work. The world is to be warned, and God’s people are to be true to the trust committed to them” (Testimonies, 9:19).
We cannot wait for a more opportune time to get the message out. Now is the time while the words of prophecy are leaping from the pages of Daniel and Revelation. We must work while we still can. Soon it will become illegal
for printing houses to publish our literature. Soon the delivery services will not be available for God’s Remnant people. Soon every earthly support will be cut off and if we wait until then to work for God—it will be too late.
“Are we to wait until the fulfillment of the prophecies of the end before we say anything concerning them? Of what value will our words be then? Shall we wait until God’s judgments fall upon the transgressor before we tell him how to avoid them? Where is our faith in the word of God? Must we see things foretold come to pass before we will believe what He has said?” (Testimonies, 9:20).
